With 451 rooms, 1,225 beds, meeting capacity for up to 1,000 people, and the city's highest and largest rooftop terrace offering panoramic views over the river, the Scandic Gothenburg Central hotel is one of Gothenburg's largest.

Audico started with a brief developed at an early stage, which was refined and elaborated into a solution based on and compliant with product availability, considering the pandemic's global impact.

The work included design, project management, installation, programming, and commissioning of audio, lighting, and visual equipment, as well as infrastructure and control systems for the black box and public areas.

The contract encompassed an environmental sound system with over 500 Yamaha speakers of various models, a projector solution from Barco, wireless microphones from Sennheiser (6000 system), a main PA system from L-Acoustics, a Crestron control system, stage lights and control systems from Grand MA, ADB, Martin, Luminex, and Lumipar, and stage mechanical equipment, including acoustic curtains and a lifting system with counters and trolleys (Eurotruss). LED walls were supplied by LG.

Carrying out an installation of this scale during a pandemic placed significant pressure on the innovative mindset of the entire Audico team. However, the results, along with the comments and accolades we have received, make us look forward to future projects with enthusiasm.
